You can choose to make any beginner project you would like. Please email hello@forgingahead.co.uk with what you would like to make on the day, at least 14 days before your experience. This means we can let you know if it is feasible to make in the day and if not can give you some other options.
If you would like to make any form of weapon or bladed article the following terms apply:
You must be of 18 years of age with valid photo ID such as a passport or driving license.
You must contact hello@forgingahead.co.uk with what you would like to make before purchasing a ticket. This is due to knives using 1095 high carbon steel which is charged additional to the cost of the session, this is paid for on the day. It also means we can sign off the knife and make sure it is feasible to make in the day.
You must understand the knives that you make can crack or break due to the nature of hand forging, we do everything we can to avoid this but this can still happen. If this does happen Forging Ahead Blacksmithing is not liable for refund of the experience.
We do not handle any knives due to time restrictions so you can either make a knife with a forged handle or handle it at home.
-
All participants must be over 16 years old due to insurance requirements.
